Mission

NAHB exists to represent the building industry by serving its members and affiliated state and local builders associations. To achieve an overall mission of member satisfaction, NAHB concentrates on the following goals:

  • Balanced national legislative, regulatory, and judicial public policy.

  • Public appreciation for the importance of housing and those who provide it.

  • The premier resource for industry information, education, research, and technical expertise.

  • Improved business performance of its members and affiliates.

  • Effective management of staff, financial, and physical resources to satisfy the association’s needs.

Vision

NAHB strives to create an environment in which:

  • All Americans have access to the housing of their choice and the opportunity to realize the American dream of homeownership.

  • Builders have the freedom to operate as entrepreneurs in an open and competitive environment.

  • Housing and those who provide it are recognized as the strength of the nation.

Being a member of the NAHB gives us access to research, breaking technology, a political voice, education, conference, seminars and a resource for information. We value being a member of the NAHB and feel it gives us the opportunity to be current on issues and a national basis.

About the 20 Club Program

The 20 Clubs are a unique networking and educational opportunity designed to help members maximize the benefit of NAHB membership. Find out more in this section or e-mail us at

20clubs@nahb.com.

We joined a Builder 20 group through the NAHB. We meet twice a year with this group to exchange ideas, issues and to discuss better ways of running our business. We were a founding member of “the Doors” 20 group in 1995 and feel it is the most valuable tool we have had over the last 12 years in growing our company both internally and externally. We look forward to many more years membership in this great group!

GuildQuality is an organization that helps us survey our clients so we know what we are doing right and wrong. The nice part about this organization is that they also compare us to other builders for approval and publish this information on the web for clients to view. This is just one more way for our clients to verify the type of company we are.

Watson Children's Shelter

shelter4children.com

Watson Children’s Shelter is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children who are victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment or family crisis.

What a special place Watson’s has in our hearts. When you meet these children and hear their stories you want to help. And now there is an increased need. Last year alone the shelter had to turn away 45 children. These children were in crisis and Watson’s was unable to help because they were out of room. So fundraising is under way to build an additional shelter. Please checkout oneisntenough.com for how you can be part of building a second shelter so we never have to say no to a child again.
