Building a new home is exciting and fun. We have developed our Construction Process with you in mind. We want you to have peace of mind and enjoy the construction of your new home! Our design-build project approach describes a building process that allows an owner to collaborate with our organized team of building professionals from the earliest planning stages to the completion of construction and beyond. From the very beginning, the entire team is briefed on the needs of the client to manage project costs and selections, ensuring the end result is a home you have been dreaming of while meeting Mostad standards and owner expectations. Since the team is assembled from the start of the project, communication is established from the start allowing the project to be clearly and concisely defined.
The Custom Home Purchase Process creates a structured framework within which the client will design their new home. Simply stated, it is a guide that allows the client to understand and efficiently look at what is needed to build their new, custom home.
PHASE ONE: Exploration and Design – Since many of our Clients have never built a custom home, they often view the process as an overwhelming and uncertain procedure. We believe that by familiarizing our clients with the process up front, we can remove uncertainty. Creating your plan is a collaborative effort of the clients, design team, and builder. Input on style, function material, and budget are all taken into consideration. This process is exciting – you get to see your dreams on paper!
PHASE TWO: Pre-Construction – We work with you on finalizing your specifications, selections, and budget, and prepare a presentation for your approval. We also line out the schedule up front, keeping communication open, this way we both know what the expectation and specifications are for your dream home. Through our integrated communication systems, you will have access to make selections, view budget, or view the progress of your new home every step of the way.
PHASE THREE: Construction – It is time to turn your two-dimensional design into a three-dimensional reality! Our team at Mostad Construction will work diligently to manage your construction, from the schedule, budget, and selections. Throughout the process, you will receive consistent communication, progress updates, and onsite milestone meetings.
PHASE FOUR: Warranty and Beyond – Now that the home is yours, we want to make sure you know everything about it! We do this with a comprehensive walk-through, orientation, and warranty period. We pride ourselves on our focus on our customer relationship, both during and long after the project. We want to ensure your home is all you dreamed it would be.
